This report should come as an eye-opener for us. Actually, the North East
region has been fast degenerating from a biodiversity rich zone to a highly
degraded, neglected and impoverished area in terms of biodiversity mainly
due to neglectful and callous attitude of the concerned authorities.
More and more such studies should be carried out and published so as to
create some awareness about the urgent need to conserve the biodiversity of
the North East region.
Kudos to Lakshmi for highlighting such issues.
Please keep regular space for something from Northeast.
